Jane Fleming, Carol Fox, and Sheree Quan volunteered to help. They will also need 3 people at each hotel at approximately 7:00 am on Saturday to hand out the boxes. Wal-Mart and Andy’s will provide bag lunches as well. The Catawba Our Guess Inn has 89 band members staying there and the Port Clinton Our Guest Inn has 172 band members. Mike Snider needs to know how many Port Clinton band chaperone passes we will need.
Fruit Sale: Carol Fox would like the directors to go over the list she has to make sure that every member is listed from each group. She is going to try to get advertising for the sale done at little or no cost. She is using connections at The Beacon, The News Herald, and various other venues to promote the sale as much as possible. She also plans to talk to the students regarding the incentives to find out what will motivate them the most. Kathy Miller and Becky Zoller are assisting her with advertising. The sale starts October 17, 2006. Carol also had samples from Malley’s candy for us to taste. This could be a year round on line fundraiser or we could buy the candy bars by the case and sell them to the community and/or at the concession stand. Kim Royster stated that we need to get Board of Education approval for the new fundraiser. Becky Zoller stated we should wait until after the fruit sale and then try to implement this fundraiser. Bob Dodge made a motion to get Board approval, Becky Zoller seconded the motion.
